Cal State University, Chico Solar Project

Project Description: 1,920 solar photovoltaic modules configured in 16 arrays, with the capacity to generate 326 kWdc of peak power and 458,700 kilowatt hours of energy per year, installed by SunEdison LLC, with the cooperation and approval of California State University.

The solar photovoltaic system encompasses approximately 27,000 square feet on the roofs of Acker Gym and Yolo Hall of the CSU campus located in Chico, Butte County.

The electricity generated from this project will be delivered directly to the campus under a power purchase agreement with SunEdison LLC, who will own and maintain the system. Construction was completed in October 2006.
