Statewide Office Supplies Contract
Several brands of 30 percent postconsumer recycled content and 100 percent postconsumer recycled content processed chlorine-free copier paper are available through the Statewide Office Supplies Contract with Office Depot. Find recycled paper in Office Depots on-line catalog by doing an Advanced Search. Check the "Recycled Goods" box and use "paper" as the key word.
The use of this contract is mandatory for all State departments except when they purchase from a California-certified Small Business Enterprise or a California-certified Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise, in cases of emergency, or as identified in Exhibit D of the contract, which lists flagged and blocked merchandise classes and items. The contract blocks the purchase of virgin copier paper. Contact your OfficeMax representative for pricing for large quantities.

The Recycled Products Cooperative (RPC) is a non-profit organization that uses aggregated volume to increase purchasing power and reduce pricing. Its educational efforts are focused on convincing buyers of the importance of using recycled paper and products. The overall volume that the RPC represents has motivated its suppliers to provide recycled paper and office products at significantly reduced rates.
